Craft Courses at Broadland Arts Centre
From her many years experience gained as an art tutor in main stream and adult education, Degree work and as an Art School lecturer, Angela firmly believes that the Arts and Crafts are completely inter related.
From the Renaissance until recent years, painting was always considered a craft, and its skills rigorously taught. Art and craft courses at Broadland Arts Centre endeavour to reflect this close relationship which still exists, encouraging equal status for both activities and dispelling the commonly held belief that crafts are for artisans and art is for artists! We also cover other craft activities including feltmaking, fresco and tempera painting, and Verre E'Glomise (Etched and gilded glass).
In '08 we are also offering a course in sculpture and casting.
